Leads Daytona Happy Hour Burton was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway Saturday morning. He turned a fast lap of 188.355 mph.

Impact Only 19 cars took part in this final practice for the Daytona 500. Staying in step with most of the practices to this point, the Ford teams showed the way. Burton would edge Joey Logano for the fastest lap of this 50-minute session. The No. 21 Ford has been consistently fast all week, and Burton looks will positioned to challenge the Top 10 in Sunday's Daytona 500.

Leads Day 2 Testing Burton was fastest in day 2 of Next-Gen testing at Daytona International Speedway Wednesday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 195.304 mph.

Impact While the second day of testing didn't offer the big pack of drafting laps that day one did, the session did produce the fastest lap of the two-day test. Burton topped the speed charts with a whopping 195 mph lap. He and the Penske Ford teams dominated the session with their cooperative laps. The second day was cut short by over an hour as teams and NASCAR saw all they needed of the new Next-Gen car.
