Cup Start for Chase Elliott Berry will replace the injured Chase Elliott in the Hendrick Motorsports No. 9 Chevrolet Sunday in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Impact Elliott was injured Friday while snowboarding in Colorado. He will undergo surgery Friday evening and will not be able to race Sunday in Las Vegas. JR Motorsports will loan Berry to the team to for fill-in duty in the No. 9 Chevrolet. Berry is a talented Xfinity Series driver, but only has two prior Cup Series starts to his credit. It will be a challenging fill-in situation for Berry.
