Impact Last Sunday's big winner of the Dixie Vodka 400 stayed lucky entering this weekend. Hamlin saw his number drawn #2 in this week's random draw for the starting grid. He will start on the front row alongside teammate, Martin Truex Jr. Hamlin has a great shot at contending for the win in Sunday's GEICO 500.

Talladega Pole Position Truex, Jr. will start from the pole for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Joe Gibbs Racing star was the lucky winner of NASCAR's random draw for the pole Thursday. Truex will start the No. 19 Toyota on P1 in Sunday's GEICO 500. The veteran driver hasn't had much luck at the central Alabama oval, so the good starting track position is welcome news for Truex. Racing up front could potentially keep him out of trouble in what is typically a wreck-filled race at Talladega.
