Will pilot No. 48 car in next three races Gragson will drive the No. 48 car for Hendrick Motorsports for at least the next four NASCAR Cup Series races, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports. Impact Gragson has filled in the last two weeks in the No. 48 car for Alex Bowman as he continues to battle concussion symptoms. Gragson was slated to run the next three races for Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series, but he is the designated reserve driver for Hendrick Motorsports and will get to test his skills in some better equipment before going full-time in the Cup Series next season. Gragson had a solid top-10 run going at the Roval last week before a late caution caused pure chaos. It wouldn't be crazy to think the Xfinity Series championship favorite could get a Cup win in this next three-race stretch. He's driving for the team that won the race in Vegas in the spring, he has been dominant at Homestead in the Xfinity Series, and has a win at Martinsville last fall. Bowman is holding out hope he can return to his home race in Phoenix to close the year, but if not Gragson would get the drive again at a place he won in the spring.
