Suffers injury at Martinsville Reddick announced via Twitter that he is being evaluated on Monday after being forced to retire from Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville after a stack up on a restart. Impact Reddick came to Martinsville and the No. 8 team struggled to find pace all day and rode in the mid-20's for most of the race. There was a big stack up at the beginning of Stage 2 that led to some damaged vehicles. After that Reddick reported that he did not feel right in the car and elected to retire from the race. He did not specifically mention in this post that he is being evaluated for a concussion, but with all the talk about the stiffness of these Next Gen cars and two other drivers missing significant time this season with a concussion, a conclusion can be drawn that is what Reddick is dealing with at this point. We should get another update later this week on Reddick's status for the season finale at Phoenix on Sunday, but with nothing really left for him to race for it may be smart to just shut it down. Reddick will move from Richard Childress Racing to 23XI Racing in 2023.
