Runner-up Finish at Nashville Smith finished second in the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway Sunday afternoon.

Impact Smith would come from 36th on the starting grid to get late tracks position in Nashville. A long rain delay wouldn't derail his best finish of the season in the Ally 400. Smith would have fuel in the tank down the stretch and that would help during the record five overtime restarts. He would hold off Tyler Reddick in the final laps to secure his best finish of the season and first-career Top 5.

Runner-up Finish in Kansas Smith finished second in the Heart of America 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway Saturday night.

Impact Smith would come from ninth on the starting grid to lead 29 laps for the night in Kansas and be Corey Heim's primary challenger. The driver of the No. 91 Chevrolet would take the win in stage 2 and use that good track position to challenge for the win in stage 3. However, Smith couldn't keep up with Heim in the closing laps and would have to settle for the runner-up finish. It was his third Top 5 in just four starts this season.

Third in Weather Guard Truck Race Smith finished third in the Weather Guard NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday night.

Impact Smith earned his best finish of the young season with a strong performance Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. He would race the No. 91 Chevrolet inside the Top 5 all evening at the half-mile oval. Smith would lead just 1 lap for the night, but he would hold off Matt Crafton down the stretch to secure the strong third-place finish. It was Smith's first Top 5 of the season.

Impact Spire will expand to three cars in 2024 and Smith will make the jump from the truck series to NASCAR's top division. The crew chief has yet to be announced, but the car number will be No. 71. Smith has accumulated one championship and nine victories over the past six years of racing in the trucks. He'll be in the mix for rookie of the year in 2024.
