Planning to return Friday Davis (foot) plans to return Friday against the Pelicans, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Impact Earlier Thursday, it was reported Davis would be a game-time call. That may still technically be the case, but it seems more likely than not now that he'll see the floor. He'll presumably be on a minutes limit, though Friday's game has significant play-in ramifications, so the Lakers will likely want him out there as much as possible.

Impact Davis was initially doubtful for Thursday's game against the Jazz, and this report essentially confirms that he's out. Davis hasn't played since the All-Star break, as he's been recovering from a sprained right foot. If he returns Friday, he'll presumably be on a minutes limit. That said, the Lakers are at risk of missing the play-in games, so ramping him up quickly could be the priority.
