Impact Tatum was the focal point of the Celtics' offense Saturday as Jaylen Brown (hip) was sidelined. Tatum did most of his damage from the charity stripe as he shot a season-high 17 free throw attempts in the win. Through the first seven games of the regular season, Tatum is averaging 303.3 points on 48.2 percent shooting, 7.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals over 35.1 minutes per game.

With that said, the allocation of minutes could vary depending on the matchup, so there is no guarantee Queta plays 24 minutes next time.

Impact Kornet shifted into the starting lineup, replacing Al Horford who was resting on the first night of a back-to-back. Despite starting, Kornet failed to produce anything of note, other than his three combined steals and blocks. Based on this performance and what we have seen from Kornet thus far, he is not someone who needs to be prioritized, even when Horford is chilling on the sideline.

Impact Tatum scored at least 32 points for the fourth time in seven games and recorded his third double-double -- second with points and rebounds. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets, who kept the game reasonably close, fell apart and committed a handful of flagrant fouls, including Grant Williams seemingly intentionally running into Tatum at halfcourt. The All-Star forward showed no ill effects of the collision and remains on a torrid start to the 2024-25 campaign.
