Standoff ends, dealt to Brooklyn Simmons (personal) was traded to the Nets on Thursday along with Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two future first-round picks in exchange for James Harden and Paul Millsap, Adrian... Impact The multi-month standoff between Simmons and the 76ers has finally come to an end, as he'll head to Brooklyn as the centerpiece of a deal that reunites Harden with Daryl Morey. For a variety of reasons, Simmons has not played in an NBA game since his horrendous performance in the Sixers' second-round playoff series against the Hawks in June. He's been away from the Sixers for several months, so at this stage it remains unclear just how much of a ramp-up period he may need before debuting for Brooklyn. With only five more games before All-Star Weekend, chances are Simmons won't play for the Nets until after the break. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that Simmons "welcomes a change of scenery and has already had conversations with Kevin Durant." While Simmons' reputation may have taken a major hit over the last several months, it appears he's finally ready to resume his NBA career as a member of the Nets.
