Impact Speaking about the matter Sunday on "SportsCenter," Wojnarowski said that Simmons continues to be limited to only light shooting work as he rehabs the sore back that required an epidural shot in mid-March. At this point, it's not realistic to expect Simmons to return for the play-in tournament, which begins in just over a week. If he's going to play for the Nets this season, the team will have to qualify for the eight-team playoff field. Should Brooklyn advance out of the play-in tournament, Simmons could make his 2021-22 debut at some point in the first round or thereafter.

Impact Aldridge was cleared to play March 27 against the Hornets after missing the Nets' preceding nine games with a right hip impingement, but he still has yet to return to the Brooklyn lineup. With four straight games in which he didn't see the court in coach's decisions, Aldridge simply looks to be out of head coach Steve Nash's rotation at the moment. Andre Drummond and Nicolas Claxton look poised to finish the regular season as the Nets' primary centers.

It's the second time in the last month Durant has topped 50, following a 53-point performance against the Knicks on March 13, and over his last 12 games he's averaging 33.5 points, 7.8 boards, 7.2 assists, 2.8 threes and 1.3 steals.
