Impact Drummond signed a one-year deal with Philadelphia in August of 2021 and played mainly off the bench during his time with the 76ers. Across 49 appearances, he averaged 6.1 points and 8.8 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per game. The 28-year-old will likely serve as a backup behind center Nicolas Claxton (hamstring) but could see increased run in the frontcourt now that he isn't playing behind Joel Embiid.

Impact The multi-month standoff between Simmons and the 76ers has finally come to an end, as he'll head to Brooklyn as the centerpiece of a deal that reunites Harden with Daryl Morey. For a variety of reasons, Simmons has not played in an NBA game since his horrendous performance in the Sixers' second-round playoff series against the Hawks in June. He's been away from the Sixers for several months, so at this stage it remains unclear just how much of a ramp-up period he may need before debuting for Brooklyn. With only five more games before All-Star Weekend, chances are Simmons won't play for the Nets until after the break. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports that Simmons "welcomes a change of scenery and has already had conversations with Kevin Durant." While Simmons' reputation may have taken a major hit over the last several months, it appears he's finally ready to resume his NBA career as a member of the Nets.
