Efficient outing in preseason loss Whitmore posted 17 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three steals, two rebounds, one block and one assist across 19 minutes during Monday's 122-113 preseason loss to the Jazz. Impact Whitmore was extremely efficient while getting it done on both ends of the floor, and he tallied the second-highest scoring mark for the Rockets behind Jalen Green (21). Whitmore is coming off a solid rookie season, during which he averaged 12.3 points and 3.8 rebounds across only 18.7 minutes per game in 47 regular-season appearances. The 20-year-old is expected to compete for playing time off the bench with Tari Eason (rest) and Amen Thompson behind Dillon Brooks (rest). However, if Whitmore can stay healthy and affect the game on both ends of the floor, it'll likely be difficult for the club to keep him off the court.
