Impact Foot injuries have dogged LeVert dating back to his college days at Michigan, and he missed extensive time during the 2018-19 campaign while he was with Brooklyn after dislocating his right foot. Though LeVert's latest foot-related setback doesn't appear to be quite as severe, he'll still miss multiple games coming out of the All-Star break. Starting point guard Darius Garland (back) will also be sidelined for at least the Cavs' first game out of the break Thursday in Detroit, likely leaving Rajon Rondo, Cedi Osman and Brandon Goodwin as the team's primary playmakers out of the backcourt.

Impact LeVert, who was acquired ahead of the trade deadline, has averaged 13.3 points, 3.8 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 31.0 minutes across in four appearances (one start) for the Cavaliers. His only start came with Darius Garland and Lauri Markkanen (ankle) sidelined, but it was his best game with his new squad, as he posted 22 points (10-19 FG,1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, three steals, two rebounds and one block in 36 minutes. Garland has since returned to the lineup and Markkanen appears to be trending in the right direction, so there doesn't appear to be a clear avenue for LeVert to join the starting lineup anytime soon.

Impact The Cavaliers brought LeVert off the bench in his team debut, and it's possible he ends up sticking in the sixth-man role if Cleveland wants to keep the more defensive-minded Isaac Okoro alongside Lauri Markkanen, who had been starting at small forward before missing each of the team's last eight games with an ankle injury. LeVert still led the Cleveland bench in minutes, and he should get the opportunity to handle a higher-usage role on the second unit than would be possible if we were starting alongside Darius Garland in the backcourt.
