Signs two-year deal with Detroit Edwards signed a two-year contract with the Pistons on Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Impact Edwards was drafted by the Celtics in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft and averaged 3.6 points across 68 appearances during his first two seasons in the league. However, he's spent the entire 2021-22 campaign at the G League level, where he averaged 26.7 points, 4.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 35.9 minutes per game. With Cory Joseph and Cade Cunningham dealing with back issues, it's possible the former Boilermaker cracks Detroit's rotation during the final four games of the season, though it remains unclear if the sharpshooter will be able to join his new team in time for Sunday's matchup against the Pacers.
