James Bouknight - Probable for TuesdayBouknight (knee) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ImpactBouknight hasn't yet played during the regular season due to his knee injury, but he'll likely be able to make his debut against New York. Given the length of his absence, he'll likely be eased into action over the next few games.

Nick Richards - Remains outRichards (concussion) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ImpactRichards will miss a fifth straight game due to a concussion. His next chance to suit up will come Thursday in Brooklyn. In Richards' absence, Miles Bridges, P.J. Washington and JT Thor are candidates for increased playing time as the backup center behind Mark Williams.

Frank Ntilikina - Still outNtilikina (lower leg) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ImpactNtilikina continues to rehab from a left tibia fracture. His next chance to make his season debut will arrive Thursday in Brooklyn, but there's been no indication he's close to being cleared.

LaMelo Ball - Unlikely to play TuesdayBall (ankle) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ImpactBall exited Sunday's game against the Magic due to an ankle injury, and although he avoided structural damage, he'll still likely be forced to miss at least one game due to the issue. He's slated to undergo an MRI on Monday, and the results aren't yet known. A better idea of Ball's long-term status could come into focus once the results of his MRI are revealed, but Ish Smith, Terry Rozier, Bryce McGowens and Brandon Miller are candidates to see increased run Tuesday.

LaMelo Ball - Avoids ankle fractureBall was cleared of any structural damage to his right ankle after undergoing X-rays following his exit from Sunday's 130-117 loss to the Magic and is scheduled to undergo an MRI o...
ImpactBall's 2022-23 season came to an early end after he fractured the same ankle in late February and required surgery, so the fact that his X-ray detected no structural damage can be taken as positive news. However, Ball isn't out of the woods yet, as the upcoming MRI will reveal whether the star point guard sustained any ligament damage. Depending on what the MRI reveals, Ball could still be headed for a lengthy absence, so fantasy managers should check back for an update on his status before the Hornets' next game Tuesday against the Knicks. If Ball is forced to miss time, Terry Rozier would likely shift to more of an on-ball role, which would open a spot in the starting unit for either Brandon Miller or P.J. Washington.

Cody Martin - Could resume activity soonMartin (knee) has been "working slowly behind the scenes" and should be "ready to participate in team activity relatively shortly," Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports...
ImpactMartin hasn't played in an NBA game since Jan. 14, 2023 due to a left knee injury. The Hornets haven't provided many details regarding where he stands in his recovery, merely ruling him out prior to every game this season. Boone's report offers at least some indication that Martin hasn't been shut down from activity, but he doesn't appear particularly close to making his 2023-24 debut, either. Until reports emerge that Martin is taking part in regular full-contact practices with Charlotte, he'll likely remain without a definitive target date for his return to game action.
