DECEMBER 10, 2023ā€¢ASSOCIATED PRESS
Kyrie Irving - Diagnosed with heel contusionIrving has been diagnosed with a right heel contusion, but he doesn't have a timetable to return yet.
ImpactNBA writer Marc Stein reported that Irving won't travel to Memphis for Monday's game against Dallas, but we won't know his status for Tuesday's home game against the Lakers until he's further evaluated. By all accounts, Irving has avoided a serious injury and has already begun treatment. In the short term, the Mavericks will likely turn to Dante Exum, Seth Curry and Tim Hardaway to pick up some minutes.

Kyrie Irving - Avoid serious injuryThe Mavericks announced Friday that Irving suffered "just a bruise" on his right foot during Friday's game versus Portland but his status is uncertain for Monday's matchup with Mem...
ImpactIrving left Friday's contest early with a bruised right foot but an MRI has confirmed that the star guard hasn't suffered any more serious damage. Seth Curry, Dante Exum and Tim Hardaway are candidates to receive extended minutes if Irving misses any time. The Mavericks should release an injury report Sunday for Monday's contest against Memphis, which will clarify his status.

Kyrie Irving - Scheduled for MRIIrving is expected to undergo an MRI on his right foot after he was forced out of Friday's 125-112 win over the Trail Blazers late in the second quarter with the injury, NBA writer...
ImpactIrving produced 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 13 minutes before exiting the contest when teammate Dwight Powell inadvertently stepped on his foot. Though Irving remained in the game to shoot a pair of free throws after suffering the injury, he then headed to the bench on Portland's ensuing possession and was ruled out for the rest of the game after being examined in the locker room. According to Grant Afseth of SI.com, head coach Jason Kidd said after the game that Irving didn't leave the arena in a wheelchair as some accounts had previously reported, but the fact that the star guard is being sent in for an MRI suggests that he could be at high risk of missing time. Seth Curry started the second half in Irving's stead Friday, but players such as Tim Hardaway, Derrick Jones and Dante Exum would seemingly benefit more from a usage and minutes standpoint if Irving misses Monday's game in Memphis. Dallas also played Friday without starting forward Grant Williams (knee) for the second game in a row, and another key rotation player in Josh Green (elbow) is week-to-week.

Toumani Camara - Logs 14 points despite cold shotCamara accumulated 14 points (6-20 FG, 2-10 3Pt), nine rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 125-112 loss to the Mavericks.
ImpactCamara's presence inside helped what was an otherwise tepid night on the floor for Camara, who absorbed some of Deandre Ayton's (knee) production in the paint. Camara attempted an uncharacteristic 10 attempts beyond the arc with little success, but Jerami Grant's (concussion) wss the likely reason why Camara was bringing the frontcourt out on the perimeter.
