Impact Roddy stepped up Saturday, flashing some two-way upside. The Grizzlies were without both Ja Morant (illness) and Jake LaRavia (illness), so managers should exercise caution before adding him in standard leagues. At this early stage of the season, he's more of a player to watch for now rather than rostering in most formats.

Impact Roddy benefitted from a lopsided scoreboard, scoring in double-digits for the first time in his young career. The Grizzlies were out of this one early meaning the bench unit saw plenty of run down the stretch. Roddy does have some upside but given the team is going to be competing on most nights, it's hard to see him carving out a role sizeable enough to warrant attention in most redraft formats.

Records 18 points Roddy scored 18 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT) in Saturday's win over the Bucks to go along with five rebounds and two steals.

Impact After hitting a three pointer on his first shot of the game in the first quarter, Roddy would finish just 1-for-4 in the first half. However, the 6-foot-5 guard made his presence known in the second half, scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter on 2-of-4 shooting, including a clutch two-pointer to put the Grizzlies up 103-101 with 1:05 left in the game. Roddy also made all six of his free throw attempts in the quarter.

Pops for 20 points Roddy posted 20 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 23 minutes during Tuesday's Summer League win over the Nets.

Impact Roddy went to Memphis with the No. 23 pick in last month's draft. Roddy aided Colorado State to its first NCAA Tournament berth since the 2012-13 season and averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 57.1 percent overall from the field last season. He showed off his scoring ability again Tuesday and Memphis got the blowout win. Looking ahead to the 2022-23 campaign, Roddy will presumably play behind Desmond Bane, John Konchar and Dillon Brooks.
