Getting look from Denver The Nuggets plan to sign Reed to a contract via a hardship exception prior to Saturday's game against the Knicks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Impact Denver is without three players due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols and three others due to injury, enabling the team to bring Reed aboard to give the team 12 bodies for Saturday's game. Reed, a 2017 second-round pick, hasn't appeared in the NBA since the 2018-19 season, when he saw action in 10 games for the Pacers. Denver already has some familiarity with the 26-year-old wing from his time this season with their G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold. In seven outings with the Gold, Reed is averaging 15.0 points (on 45.5 percent shooting from the field), 8.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 35.6 minutes per contest.
