The 26-year-old's next chance to suit up will come Sunday against the Suns.

Impact Jordan played limited run in Denver's preseason opener, and he will take Sunday off. This will allow coach Mike Malone to get a better look at Zeke Nnaji and Dario Saric behind Nikola Jokic. Jordan's next opportunity to play will come Sunday versus the Suns.

Impact After a solid all-around preseason debut with the Nuggets, Westbrook will take Sunday off. The All-Star's absence will likely allow coach Mike Malone to get a better look at Trey Alexander and Jalen Pickett. Impact The shooting line wasn't good, but Westbrook racked up stats left and right while seeing a decent amount of minutes -- compared to the starters -- in this preseason opener. The veteran is expected to open the season as Jamal Murray's primary backup and main second-unit scoring threat, but don't be surprised if he sees a decent run with the first unit as well, particularly when closing out games.

Impact Head coach Mike Malone had already declared Murray would be among the starters who would have a reduced workload during Friday's preseason opener, so it wasn't surprising to see him log 16 minutes, as no starter reached the 20-minute mark. That said, Murray looked rusty and struggled to make an impact on both ends of the court. Murray should continue to ramp up in the preseason, and fantasy managers shouldn't have any reason to worry about him ahead of the 2024-25 regular season.
