Impact Bane continues to show up nightly with excellent stat lines, December was a stellar month for Bane, who averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds over 14 contests. He's doing equally well to begin 2024, and his 13 dimes marked Bane's highest assist total of the season.

Impact Bane finished just two assists away from recording a double-double Wednesday, but perhaps more importantly, he continues to make an impact on offense despite the return of Ja Morant. Bane was Memphis' go-to player on offense when Morant was out, and while he has returned to being the second-best option since the star floor general returned from a 25-game suspension, his numbers have not suffered a sizable downgrade. He's averaging 24.4 points per game since Dec. 19, which is the date when Morant made his regular-season debut.

Scores 24 points Tuesday Bane ended Tuesday's 106-98 win over the Spurs with 24 points (11-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 34 minutes.

Impact Ja Morant carried the Grizzlies to victory Tuesday against a reeling Spurs team, but Bane's contributions can't go unnoticed. He's scored at least 20 points in six of his last eight appearances, a span in which he's averaging 24.8 points per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field. Morant will remain the star on offense for Memphis, but Bane's rise to a reliable scoring threat on a game-to-game basis certainly gives Memphis a new dimension on the offensive end.

Solid production in loss Bane provided 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 117-106 loss to the Clippers.

Impact Bane gave a good multi-category performance despite the loss. Ja Morant's return hasn't had an adverse effect on Bane's production, but the 18-point result is his lowest scoring total with Morant in the starting lineup. Bane has posted several decent totals over that span, so it's too early to say if his value will suffer a significant drop with Morant's presence.

Impact Bane was unable to repeat the 28-point, 13-rebound double-double he registered against the Rockets on Dec. 15, and while the Grizzlies looked overmatched in this one, Bane posted a decent stat line. Even though his usage rate will decrease with the expected return of Ja Morant on Tuesday following his 25-game suspension, he should remain a reliable scoring threat for Memphis going forward.

Expected to play Friday Bane, who's listed as questionable due to an illness, is expected to play Friday against the Rockets, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.

Impact Bane was sidelined for the first time this season Wednesday and was in danger of missing back-to-back games after being listed as questionable for Friday, but it looks like he's on track to suit up. With Ja Morant (suspension) and Marcus Smart (foot) still out, Bane should operate as Memphis' go-to playmaker versus Houston. However, Morant and Smart are nearing returns, so Bane's usage may take a hit soon.
