Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
Nic Claxton - Three rejections in lossClaxton contributed 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 loss to the Pistons.
ImpactThe 25-year-old center is getting leaned on more heavily while the Nets deal with a wave of injuries. Claxton has played 30-plus minutes in seven of the last eight games, averaging 11.3 points, 7.6 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks over that stretch while recording three double-doubles. That level of production is still a step below the numbers he delivered the prior two seasons however, and if Claxton isn't making a consistent impact with his rim protection, he's tough to roster in most season-long fantasy formats.

Tyrese Martin - First career double-doubleMartin contributed 12 points (4-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 loss to the Pistons.
ImpactThe Nets are scrambling to fill out their roster due to a wave of injuries, which has pushed Martin into the starting lineup. The 2022 second-round pick has averaged 30.7 minutes over the last three games while contributing 14.3 points, 6.7 boards, 2.7 assists and 2.0 threes, but his production and his workload should both shrink once players like Cam Thomas (hamstring) and D'Angelo Russell (lower leg) are ready to return.

Noah Clowney - Erupts for career-high 29Clowney closed with 29 points (9-20 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 loss to Detroit.
ImpactIt was the best scoring performance of the second-year forward's career. Injuries, plus the Dorian Finney-Smith trade, have pushed Clowney into the starting lineup, but as yet he hasn't seized the opportunity on a consistent basis. Clowney has started in seven of his last nine appearances, but he hasn't pulled down more than six boards in any of those contests while scoring in double digits only six times. Over that stretch, he's averaging 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 threes and 1.2 assists while shooting 41.9 percent (26-for-62) from beyond the arc.

Marcus Sasser - Drains season-high five threesSasser totaled 15 points (5-9 FG, 5-7 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 22 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 113-98 victory over the Nets.
ImpactThe second-year guard set a new season high in made threes while posting his best scoring performance since he erupted for 22 points against Memphis on Nov. 27. Sasser has seen his workload increase with Jaden Ivey (lower leg) out of action, but Wednesday was the first time he really took advantage -- over the prior three contests, he'd scored a total of just nine points while going 1-for-11 from beyond the arc.

Simone Fontecchio - Drops 17 off bench WednesdayFontecchio finished Wednesday's 113-98 victory over the Nets with 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 24 minutes off the bench.
ImpactThe 17 points were his best scoring effort since Nov. 27, when Fontecchio dropped a season-high 18 on the Grizzlies. The 29-year-old forward has played more than 20 minutes in back-to-back games after returning from a brief absence at the beginning of January to attend to a personal matter, but that increased workload has come while Ausar Thompson (illness) has been sidelined.

Malik Beasley - Pops for team-high 23 in winBeasley supplied 23 points (9-17 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 113-98 victory over Brooklyn.
ImpactMaking his second straight start in place of Ausar Thompson (illness), Beasley led the Pistons in scoring while nabbing multiple steals for the third straight contest. The 28-year-old wing has topped 20 points six times in the last 11 games (three starts), averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 threes, 2.8 boards, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals over that stretch, and his role in the Detroit offense hasn't varied much whether he's been on the first or second unit -- Beasley's attempted at least nine three-pointers in 10 of those 11 games.
