Jalen Green - Scoring streak snappedGreen contributed 19 points (8-21 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Monday's 107-96 loss to the Pistons.
ImpactGreen saw the end of his nine-game streak with at least 20 points abruptly Monday, as he ended up needing 21 shots just to score 19 points in what was a subpar shooting display from the star guard. One bad performance can't stain what Green has done throughout the month of January, though, where he's been the best player for the Rockets by a wide margin. Through 10 games this month, Green is averaging 28.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting an impressive 51.2 percent from the floor.

Alperen Sengün - Subpar performance MondaySengun closed Monday's 107-96 loss to the Pistons with 11 points (5-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds and five assists over 29 minutes.
ImpactSengun had a rough shooting performance and looked overmatched against the presence of Jalen Duren, needing 14 shots to score 11 points and also losing the rebounding battle against the Pistons' big man. Sengun is one of the most versatile big men in the NBA, but he's recorded only four double-doubles in 10 games during January. He's averaging 20.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game in that stretch, however, so he remains a reliable fantasy asset even if he's not crashing the boards with the efficient he's done it in the past.

Fred VanVleet - Scores 20 points MondayVanVleet provided 20 points (7-15 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and six steals in 38 minutes during Monday's 107-96 loss to the Pistons.
ImpactVanVleet reached the 20-point mark for the first time since Jan. 9, and his scoring numbers have been a bit inconsistent of late. Even though he remains a key contributor on offense for the Rockets, it's worth noting that VanVleet has failed to score in double digits in four of his nine appearances during January. He's putting up 13.7 points, 5.6 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game in that span.

Jalen Duren - Outstanding in win MondayDuren ended Monday's 107-96 victory over the Rockets with 16 points (8-8 FG), 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and four steals across 30 minutes.
ImpactEven though Cade Cunningham grabbed most of the headlines in this win, it's impossible to overlook what Duren did in this huge win. He went perfect from the field and not only recorded his third straight double-double, but he also recorded at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. Duren, who has also scored in double digits in five straight outings, is averaging 11.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game since the beginning of January.

Ausar Thompson - Close to double-doubleThompson logged 11 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one block in 23 minutes during Monday's 107-96 win over the Rockets.
ImpactThompson finished just one rebound shy of a double-double, and the second-year forward remains a productive presence in the Pistons' lineup. He's made seven starts in a row, and his role isn't likely to change as long as Jaden Ivey (knee) remains sidelined. During those seven starts, Thompson is averaging 8.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.9 steals across 21.9 minutes per game.

Cade Cunningham - Puts up 32 points in winCunningham accumulated 32 points (12-22 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Monday's 107-96 win over the Rockets.
ImpactCunningham had an excellent showing Monday and finished just one rebound and three assists away from recording another triple-double. The star floor general has reached that output seven times already, and he's firmly established not only as one of the most productive guards in fantasy, but also as one of the best point guards in The Association this season. He's averaging 25.8 points, 8.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game since the beginning of January.
