Jae'Sean Tate - Iffy for SundayTate (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bucks.
ImpactTate has been a minimal part of Houston's rotation, and minutes won't be easy to come by with Tari Eason playing so well. Plus, the Rockets will be looking to ramp up Amen Thompson (illness, questionable) soon.

Amen Thompson - Listed as questionableThompson (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bucks.
ImpactThompson has missed the past two games for Houston due to an illness, and his status remains in the air. In addition to Thompson, Jae'Sean Tate is also questionable with an illness. Tari Eason has been terrific for the Rockets in recent games and will likely see increased minutes if Thompson is forced to sit again.

Desmond Bane - Scores 28 points in returnBane posted 28 points (11-25 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 13 rebounds, three assists and two steals over 40 minutes during Friday's 103-96 loss to the Rockets.
ImpactBane returned from a one-game absence Friday and was one of Memphis' go-to players on offense, but unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to lift the Grizzlies to victory against Houston. Bane has enjoyed a strong year as Memphis' main scoring threat with Ja Morant (suspension) sidelined, and he's been on a tear of late after scoring 27 or more points in five of his last six contests.

Vince Williams Jr. - Sniffs double-doubleWilliams logged 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 103-96 loss to Houston.
ImpactWilliams kept his place in the starting lineup even with the return of Desmond Bane, and he delivered by posting a solid outing once again, scoring in double figures for the third straight game and ending just two boards shy of a double-double. Williams should continue to experience an uptick in his upside as long as he remains in the staring lineup, which might be the case against the Thunder on Monday.
DECEMBER 16, 2023ROTOWIRE
Alperen Sengun - Productive at both endsSengun chipped in 15 points (4-12 FG, 7-7 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals in 32 minutes during Friday's 103-96 victory over the Grizzlies.
ImpactSengun has been a stat-filling machine this season. Even though his double-double numbers are lower compared to the previous campaign, with the emergence of Jabari Smith potentially playing a role in that, he remains a productive two-way asset for a rising Rockets team. Over his last 10 contests, Sengun is averaging 18.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.
DECEMBER 16, 2023ROTOWIRE
Dillon Brooks - Goes for 26 points in winBrooks produced 26 points (10-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 40 minutes during Friday's 103-96 win over the Grizzlies.
ImpactThe Rockets came from behind and overcame a slow start to get past the Grizzlies, and Brooks iced the game with a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter when Memphis was attempting a comeback. Brooks has enjoyed a solid start to life in Houston, and while his scoring figures are a bit down compared to the previous season, he's showing a clear improvement in the efficiency department. He's shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from deep, and both are career-best figures for him.
DECEMBER 16, 2023ROTOWIRE
Fred VanVleet - Falls short of double-double againVanVleet ended with 16 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four steals across 36 minutes during Friday's 103-96 victory over the Grizzlie...
ImpactVanVleet has gone six straight games without a double-double, but it's worth noting he has ended three assists or fewer from reaching that tally in four of those contests. Even though his scoring figures aren't on the same note as they were during his Toronto days, VanVleet remains a reliable fantasy option for the point guard, especially considering his uptick in assists. He's averaging a career-high 8.5 dimes per game in 2023-24.
