Usman Garuba - Makes return SundayGaruba (wrist) played seven minutes off the bench in Sunday's 130-105 loss to the Pelicans, finishing with three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, one steal and one block.
ImpactThough Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reported Thursday that Garuba would be re-evaluated this week for a potential return to the lineup, the rookie big man made a surprise return off the bench during garbage time of Sunday's contest. Garuba produced well during his limited minutes, and with the Rockets firmly out of contention as the season winds down, it's possible the 20-year-old first-round pick gets a longer look. Before making his return from a seven-week absence due to a fractured left wrist, Garuba had made only 14 appearances on the season for Houston, averaging 1.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 7.3 minutes.

CJ McCollum - Questionable for TuesdayMcCollum (COVID-19 protocols) is considered questionable for Tuesday's game against Phoenix, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ImpactPelicans head coach Willie Green told reporters that McCollum remains in COVID-19 protocols as of Monday, but the team is not ruling out the possibility that he could be cleared in time for Tuesday's 8 p.m. ET tipoff. Green noted that McCollum will still need to get "a couple negative tests" before returning, perhaps hinting that the 30-year-old isn't dealing with overly severe symptoms of the virus. If McCollum is ultimately unable to go Tuesday, he would almost certainly be back for Friday's game at San Antonio.

David Nwaba - Pops for 15 points in lossNwaba registered 15 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal over 14 minutes during Sunday's 130-105 loss to the Pelicans.
ImpactNwaba scored a season-high 15 points in the loss, highlighting just what a struggle it has been for him this season. In fact, he has scored in double-digits just six times, struggling to carve out a regular spot in the rotation. While the Rockets are likely to change up their rotation moving forward, it is unlikely they view Nwaba as a crucial piece of their future. Based on that fact, he is not a name to be monitoring outside of the deepest formats.
