Jalen Green - Questionable MondayGreen is questionable for Monday's game against the Clippers due to right shoulder soreness.
ImpactGreen has had plenty of playing time over his last three appearances, and he's averaged 29.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 38.7 minutes per game during that time. However, he's apparently dealing with a shoulder injury that puts him in jeopardy of missing his first game of the season.

TyTy Washington Jr. - Returns from G LeagueThe Rockets recalled Washington from the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Thursday, Adam Wexler of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
ImpactThe Vipers don't have another game until Thursday, so Washington and two-way player Trevor Hudgins will rejoin the NBA team to give the Rockets some added depth in the backcourt. Washington, a rookie first-round pick who has yet to make his NBA debut, is unlikely to be included in head coach Stephen Silas' rotation Monday against the Clippers or Wednesday in Dallas before likely heading back to the G League.

Jabari Smith Jr. - Corrals 15 rebounds SaturdaySmith recorded nine points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 28 minutes during Saturday's 119-106 loss to New Orleans.
ImpactSmith was a beast on the boards in the loss, recording a career-high 15 rebounds -- six of which came on the offensive end. He also accounted for half of Houston's four blocks and finished one point shy of his second straight double-double. Smith endured a brutal four-game stretch from late October to early November during which he averaged just 4.3 points and shot 20 percent from the field, but he's been a bit better over his subsequent two contests, going 8-for-21 (38.1 percent) and averaging 12.0 points.

Kevin Porter Jr. - Ejected late in lossPorter closed with 23 points (9-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound and three assists across 34 minutes before getting ejected from Saturday's 119-106 loss to the Pelicans.
ImpactThough Porter went a modest 3-for-9 from three-point range, he missed only one of seven shots inside the arc to finish with a strong shooting line overall. The fourth-year guard wasn't anywhere near as efficient as a ball handler, committing seven turnovers while dishing just three assists. Porter is usually much better than this as a passer -- he came into the contest having dished 11 dimes in consecutive games -- but turnovers have been a major problem this year, as Porter ranks dead last in the NBA with 4.1 turnovers per contest through his first 13 games. Porter's ejection Saturday came after he tangled with Jose Alvarado in the waning seconds of the loss, but there probably wasn't enough to the confrontation to warrant a suspension.

Jalen Green - Posts another big scoring gameGreen totaled 33 points (11-20 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and six assists across 38 minutes during Saturday's 119-106 loss to the Pelicans.
ImpactGreen led all players in scoring during Saturday's contest and finished one point shy of his season-high mark, which he set less than a week ago against Orlando. The sophomore guard reached his 33 points with an efficient shooting night that included a 5-for-10 mark from three-point range. Green has had a number of poor shooting games this season, but he's improved dramatically of late, making 59.6 percent of his field-goal tries (31-for-52) over his past three contests.
