Gets two-way deal with Sacramento Stevens signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Kings on Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact According to Scotto, Stevens' deal contains the maximum guaranteed protection in both seasons. A six-foot, 185-pound guard out of Colorado State, Stevens went undrafted in 2024 and began his professional career in the G League with the Heat's affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Miami upgraded him to a two-way deal in December, but he appeared in just three games for the NBA club before a sore right foot kept him out of the final six contests of the regular season. After Miami declined to extend him a qualifying offer prior to the start of free agency, Stevens was added to the Kings' Las Vegas Summer League roster over the weekend, and now Sacramento has decided to bring him aboard as one of its three two-way players. His outlook for earning playing time at the NBA level won't be much better in Sacramento than it had been in Miami, but Stevens should receive extended run in the G League with the Stockton Kings throughout the 2025-26 campaign. Stevens was productive at the G League level for Sioux Falls a season ago, averaging 12.8 points (on 45.2 percent shooting from the field), 9.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 36.9 minutes over 33 appearances.

Not eligible for playoffs Stevens is ineligible for the NBA Playoffs, as he's on a two-way contract.
Impact Stevens made three appearances for the Heat during the regular season but spent most of his time in the G League. Given that he's on a two-way deal and, therefore, ineligible for the playoffs, his season is over.

Not listed on injury report Stevens (foot) is not listed on the injury report for Wednesday's Play-In Game against the Bulls.
Impact After missing the last six outings of the regular season due to foot soreness, Stevens appears primed to be available off the Miami bench for Wednesday's win-or-go-home matchup against Chicago. That said, Stevens has totaled a mere six minutes over three appearances for the Heat in 2024-25, so he's not a lock to see the floor.

Not playing Sunday Stevens (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Pelicans, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Stevens will end up missing the final six games of the regular season due to right foot soreness. Even if he were to be available to play in the Heat's Play-In Tournament game against the Bulls on Wednesday, he wouldn't likely see the floor other than in garbage time.

APRIL 11 • ROTOWIRE
Iffy for Friday Stevens (foot) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
Impact Stevens has a chance to play Friday after missing the last four games due to right foot soreness. However, even if he does play in New Orleans, it's highly unlikely he'll have an impact from a fantasy perspective, averaging 2.0 minutes per contest.
APRIL 10 • ROTOWIRE
Won't return Wednesday Stevens (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Impact Wednesday will be the fourth straight game that Stevens will miss while working through a right foot injury. He's played just six minutes across three games for Miami this season, so his absence won't impact the Heat's bench rotation. His next chance to play is Friday against New Orleans.

Miami plays Chicago, seeks 4th straight road win

Impact Stevens has missed the last three games for the Heat while dealing with soreness in his right foot, but there's a chance he returns to the floor Wednesday in Chicago. The rookie guard has played in only three games for Miami this season and hasn't made much of an impact from a fantasy perspective, averaging 2.0 minutes per game.

Impact Stevens is dealing with soreness in his right foot, which will result in him missing a third straight game for the Heat on Monday. The next chance for the 24-year-old guard to return to the floor will be Wednesday against the Bulls.

Dazzles on offense in double-double Stevens posted 16 points (5-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists and two steals over 39 minutes in Friday's 110-96 G League loss to Santa Cruz.
Impact Stevens provided a big lift to Sioux Falls offensively in Friday's G League showdown, leading all players in assists while concluding as one of two Skyforce players with a double-double in a losing effort. Stevens has appeared in 17 G League games this season, averaging 13.3 points, 10.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per outing.
JANUARY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Fills vacant two-way spot Stevens agreed to a two-way contract with the Heat on Thursday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Impact As a result of the fallout from Dru Smith's season-ending Achilles tear, Stevens will fill one of the three two-way slots for Miami that opened up when the team upgraded forward Keshad Johnson to a standard NBA contract. The addition of Stevens helps restore some depth to the backcourt that was lost by Smith's injury, though Stevens, an undrafted rookie out of Colorado State, brings more playmaking skills to the table than the defensive-minded smith. While playing for the Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the six-foot, 185-pound Stevens has led the circuit in assists per game (10.6) while chipping in 13.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 38.6 minutes per contest over his 17 appearances.
DECEMBER 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inks deal with Heat The Heat officially signed Stevens to an Exhibit 10 deal on Saturday.
Impact Stevens has signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Heat, and he will join the club's Summer League roster in hopes of potentially securing a two-way contract. The 23-year-old averaged 16.0 points, 6.8 assists and 3.2 assists in his final season with Colorado State. Stevens is the all-time leader in points, assists and three-point field goals made for the Rams.
