Impact Brooks has spent the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign with the G League's Birmingham Squadron, averaging 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 37.5 minutes across 20 appearances. However, Brooks will now split time between the NBA and G League as a two-way player.

Cut by New Orleans Brooks was waived by the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Impact Brooks was always considered a long shot to make the final roster. He was previously on an Exhibit 10 contract with the Pelicans and is now set to join the Birmingham Squadron in the G League.
