Out Monday, eyeing Thursday return Durant (knee) is officially out for Monday's game against the Raptors in Brooklyn and is "likely" to sit out Tuesday's rematch in Toronto, according to Nets head coach Steve Nash,... Impact Durant's expected absence for the upcoming two games against Toronto doesn't come as a major surprise, given that Nash said Sunday that the 12-time All-Star was in line to miss both contests, per Friedell. Fortunately for Durant, the Nets' decision to hold him out to begin the week isn't indicative of a setback, as the 33-year-old looks like he needs just a few more days to ramp up after being sidelined since mid-January with a MCL sprain of his left knee. Durant has reportedly impressed during his recent practices, leaving the Nets optimistic that he'll be able to pick up where he left off with minimal rust once he rejoins the lineup. Over 36 appearances on the season, Durant is averaging 29.3 points -- the third-most of his career -- to go with 7.4 boards, 5.8 assists, 1.9 three-pointers, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 52 percent from the field and 89.4 percent from the free-throw line.
