Impact Porter took his place in the starting lineup despite a minor injury concern, delivering fantasy managers another well-rounded performance. It's been a terrific start to the season for Porter, putting up top-40 value thus far. Both he and Jalen Green have hit the ground running and as long as the Rockets are willing to go with their best lineup, Porter could end up being a bit of a draft-day steal.

Impact According to Wojnarowski, only the first season is fully guaranteed, and the structure of the extension gives the Rockets the ability to move on from the 22-year-old with few ramifications if he fails to develop as anticipated. At least for the 2022-23 campaign, the extension positions Porter to remain a key player for the rebuilding Rockets, who have an exciting young nucleus that also includes second-year players Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun along with rookie No. 3 overall pick Jabari Smith (ankle).
