Shuts down Mavs frontcourt Looney finished with eight points (4-5 FG, 0-3 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals across 26 minutes in Sunday's 107-101 loss to the Mavericks. Impact Thanks in no small part to Looney's efforts as an anchor at the back end, the Golden State defense has been tough on opposing frontcourt players all season, and that trend continued Sunday. Though neither of Dallas' top two centers in Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber are usually major contributors on the offensive end, Looney had a hand in the two Mavs big men going a combined 1-for-7 from the field for two points. As per usual, Looney was quiet on offensive himself, but his steady rebounding and ability to occasionally chip in in the defensive categories makes him serviceable as back-end roster filler in 12-team leagues.
