Remains ineligible to play Sunday Irving will be in attendance for Sunday at the Barclays Center for the Nets' game against the Knicks, though he remains ineligible to play due to New York City's private sector vac... Impact Earlier this week, mayor Eric Adams announced looser restrictions for New York City's vaccinate mandate, but aside from allowing Irving to attend games at the Barclays Center as a spectator, the new regulations won't result in any changes in his eligibility for home games since he's considered an employee of the Nets. While it's possible the restrictions could be loosened further in the weeks to come, as it stands now, Irving won't be available to play in at least 10 of the Nets' remaining 15 games. The Nets have five road games left on their 2021-22 schedule, and since one of them is at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks, Irving may be eligible to play in only four of them.
