Big stat line can't stop team woes James recorded 26 points (8-18 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one block over 37 minutes during Thursday's 132-111 loss to the Clippers. Impact James enjoyed his typical strong production Thursday, finishing with a team-leading 26 points and chipping in, as usual, as a rebounder and distributor. He was the only Laker to play more than 30 minutes in the lopsided loss that resulted in a Clippers season sweep. James has been logging heavy playing time and putting up big numbers as he tries to carry a struggling Lakers team on his back, but the results haven't been there from a team standpoint. The Lakers have lost four straight and seem destined to be no better than a play-in seed in the West. The good news for fantasy managers who roster James is that there's little reason for his team to tank, so he'll likely continue to amass big minutes while the Lakers try to hold on to their play-in spot as the regular season winds down.
