INJURIES
Set to play at Milwaukee
Smart (ankle) will play Thursday against Milwaukee, Bobby Krivitsky of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact
Smart was listed as probable earlier in the day but has been officially removed from the injury report. Curiously, the Celtics will start Smart and Jaylen Brown, while Al Horford and Jayson Tatum are resting.

Impact
While the Celtics will hold both Jayson Tatum and Al Horford out of Thursday's contest, it appears Smart and Jaylen Brown are on track to play. Boston is, of course, jockeying with Milwaukee, among other teams, for advantageous playoff seeding in the Eastern Conference, so it wouldn't be a surprise if that influences the Celtics' rotations for Sunday's regular-season finale against Memphis.

Logs season-high 28 points
Smart ended Monday's 115-112 overtime loss to Toronto with 28 points (10-25 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one block in 40 minutes.
Impact
Smart was a logical pivot when Jaylen Brown's (knee) absence was announced, as the hybrid guard is usually a reliable fantasy play when any of Boston's elites are out. Multiple absences for the Celtics aided Smart's ability to post a double-double and his best scoring performance of the season.

Dishes career-high 13 dimes
Smart delivered five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), 13 assists, three boards and one steal in Wednesday's 125-97 home win over the Jazz.
Impact
Smart was part of a devastating starting five that delivered most of Boston's 39 first-quarter points. The game was a route from start to finish. Smart's 13 assists were a career high. Boston's 37 total assists was a season high. The C's also shot a season-best 59 percent from the field, aided by excellent passes from Smart and others. The gritty guard will now enjoy a few days off until the Celtics face the Timberwolves in Boston on Sunday evening.

Probable for Wednesday
Smart (illness) is probable for Wednesday's contest against the Jazz.
Impact
Smart was a late addition to the injury report Monday with a non-COVID illness and was eventually ruled out for the matchup against the Thunder. However, he's expected to return to action Wednesday, which likely means reduced roles for Derrick White and Payton Pritchard.
