Dallas is sitting Kyrie Irving and four other regulars against Chicago in a game with draft implications and with the Mavericks facing postseason elimination if they lose

Sitting Friday Kleber (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls.

Impact Kleber returned to action Wednesday against the 76ers but will be one of several Mavericks sitting out the penultimate game of the regular season. Reggie Bullock and Davis Bertans could see increased run against Chicago.

Productive in return to bench Kleber closed with 14 points (4-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Sunday's 110-104 loss to the Hornets.

Impact After starting the prior five games, Kleber moved back to the second unit Sunday and had his best scoring performance since October, setting a new season high for made threes in the process. The 31-year-old's lack of consistent offense makes him a generally unappealing fantasy option, but his ability to contribute in both threes and blocks can allow him to pop on occasion as a bargain DFS tournament dart throw.

Impact Josh Green has been reinserted into the starting lineup, so Kleber will move back to the bench after starting five straight games. Across five appearances as a reserve this season, Kleber has averaged 5.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24.2 minutes.

Impact Kleber was quiet for almost the entire game Friday, but he came through when Dallas needed him most. He was fouled by Anthony Davis on a three-point try with seven seconds remaining and proceeded to knock down all three foul shots to bring the Mavericks to within a point. After Davis missed one of two free-throws on the other end, Kyrie Irving got the ball to Kleber just in time for the big man to take and make a buzzer-beating, game-winning triple. Kleber ended with double-digit points for the first time since he scored 13 against the Knicks on Dec. 3.

Impact Kleber struggled to make an impact in the 28 minutes he logged, and both Dwight Powell and Christian Wood visibly outplayed him. However, this might have been nothing more than a bad outing. Whether Kleber starts again may be determined by Tim Hardaway's (calf) status.
