Impact Morant had a rough outing from an efficiency perspective, as he made only five of his 19 shots overall. However, and as has happened plenty of times in the past, the star floor general came through when Mmephis needed him the most, and he sunk what ended up being the game-winning shot with a floater from a tight angle. Fantasy managers shouldn't stop trusting Morant for one inefficient game, though. This was the first time he failed to reach the 15-point mark since Dec. 19.

To be re-evaluated in three weeks The Grizzlies announced Friday that Spencer (thumb) will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Impact After suffering a fractured left thumb in Thursday's practice with the G League's Memphis Hustle, Spencer will get surgery and is facing an extended absence, but he's expected to make a full recovery. Amid the rookie second-rounder's absence, fantasy managers can look for Luke Kennard and Scotty Pippen to serve as the Grizzlies' first guards off the bench going forward.

Impact Smart was diagnosed with a partial tear of the proximal extensor hood of his right index finger, an injury that he sustained Dec. 21 against Atlanta. On the bright side, the veteran guard is progressing toward a return to game action, though the week-to-week designation suggests that he may require a bit more of a ramp-up process. Smart is averaging 9.2 points, 3.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 21.2 minutes per game over 18 regular-season appearances thus far.

Joining Memphis on two-way pact Pullin signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Grizzlies on Friday, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.

Impact The undrafted rookie out of Florida will join the Grizzlies after having been waived by the Heat following training camp. The 23-year-old had delivered a stellar G League regular-season campaign for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in six outings, during which he had averaged 24.8 points, 7.5 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from downtown. Pullin will likely spend the majority of his time with the G League's Memphis Hustle, though he could carve out a significant role in the backcourt if injuries arise.

Impact Kennard did most of his damage Thursday from beyond the arc, connecting on three threes for a second straight game and the sixth time over his last seven outings. Over that span, he has averaged 13.1 points, 4.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds across 26.0 minutes per game while shooting 46.7 percent from three on 6.4 3PA/G.

Impact Bane returned Thursday from a one-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, and he finished the contest as Memphis' third-leading scorer behind Ja Morant (27) and Jaren Jackson (21). Over his last 10 outings, Bane has averaged 20.9 points, 6.5 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals over 30.1 minutes per game.

Impact Jackson was able to play through a sore left thigh Thursday and finished as the Grizzlies' second-leading scorer behind Ja Morant (27). Jackson was dominant on the defensive side of the floor, logging a season-high six blocks for the 11th time in his NBA career. Since and including Dec. 1, Jackson has averaged 23.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals over 29.9 minutes per game.

Impact Suiting up for the first time since Dec. 26 after missing six straight games with a sprained left ankle, Aldama saw the second-most minutes of any Grizzlies bench player and produced some useful counting statistics in his return. The poor shooting from the field and free-throw line limited the overall impact of his performance in category leagues, however. The Grizzlies are now at close to full strength in the frontcourt, but if Aldama can continue to hold down a 20-to-25-minute bench role, he could maintain some appeal as a low-end option in 12-team leagues.

Impact After suffering a Grade 1 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder during a Dec. 27 win over the Pelicans, Morant proceeded to miss five straight games before making his return Thursday. The Grizzlies eased Morant back in to some degree by keeping him under 30 minutes in a close loss, but the point guard didn't seem to be inhibited by the injury, as he took on a massive 43.3 percent usage rate and matched or surpassed season highs in both field-goal and free-throw attempts. Assuming Morant came out of Thursday's game with no setbacks, fantasy managers who had been stashing him in an injured reserve slot can feel comfortable activating him ahead of Saturday's game at Minnesota.
