Impact After picking up a pair of DNP-CDs to conclude the Grizzlies' Round 1 series against Minnesota, Melton was thrust back into the rotation for a much larger role Sunday. His 25 minutes established a new playoff career high, as coach Taylor Jenkins rolled with Melton for long stretches instead of Tyus Jones, who saw only 12 minutes of action. The absence of Ziaire Williams (knee) may have also been a factor, though Williams was unavailable for Game 6 against Minnesota when Melton did not see the floor. How the minutes break down between Melton and Jones, in particular, will be worth monitoring as the series progresses.

Dillon Brooks - Goes 3-of-13 in Game 1 loss Brooks ended with eight points (3-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 117-116 loss to Golden State.
Impact It was a mostly rough afternoon for Brooks, who left Jaren Jackson Jr. (33 points) and Ja Morant (34 points) to do most of the heavy lifting for Memphis on the offensive end. Even when he's not shooting well, Brooks is one of the Grizzlies' best on-ball defenders, but in order to survive against the star-studded Warriors, Memphis will need Brooks to snap out of his recent shooting slump. In Round 1 against Minnesota, Brooks shot just 37.5 percent from the field (16.0 FGA/G) with a pair of single-digit scoring efforts in Games 2 and 5.

Jaren Jackson Jr. - Erupts for 33 points, 10 boards Jackson posted 33 points (10-18 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 31 minutes during Sunday's 117-116 loss to the Warriors.
Impact One of the reasons Minnesota was able to hang around in Round 1 was Jackson's perpetual foul trouble. He picked up at least five fouls in five of the six games but was able to stay on the floor Sunday against Golden State's jumpshot-oriented attack. In 31 minutes of action, Jackson notched his second straight double-double (he had 18 points and 14 boards in Game 6 against Minnesota) and worked his way to the free-throw line nine times. The big man's six made threes tied his season high, which he originally set during Memphis' record-setting, 152-79 win over Oklahoma City back on Dec. 2.

Ja Morant - Drops 34, Grizzlies come up short Morant produced 34 points (14-31 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, 10 assists and three steals in 38 minutes during Sunday's 117-116 loss to the Warriors.
Impact It was an overall up-and-down game for the Grizzlies' offense, as they shot just 43.2 percent as a team and committed 14 turnovers, but Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. (33 points) combined for 67 points and a number of big-time shots down the stretch. While Morant's running layup attempt caromed off the rim as time expired, the newly minted Most Improved Player had another monster statistical game. He fell one rebound short of a triple-double and drilled as many three-pointers (four) as he hit during the Grizzlies' entire Round 1 series against Minnesota (4-20 3Pt). Dating back to Game 2 of that series, Morant has posted at least nine assists and at least eight rebounds in each of his last six games.
