Jalen Duren - Expected to miss two weeksThe Pistons indicated Thursday that Duren (ankle) is expected to miss approximately two weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

ImpactDuren sprained his left ankle during Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, and the issue will cost him multiple weeks. The 20-year-old has dealt with injuries to both ankles early in the season, as he missed seven games in November due to ankle issues, including a stretch of five consecutive matchups in the middle of the month. It's a significant blow for the Pistons, who will presumably rely on James Wiseman, Marvin Bagley and Isaiah Stewart to fill in during Duren's absence.

Jake LaRavia - Doubtful for FridayLaRavia (eye) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Timberwolves.

ImpactLaRavia is in the midst of a multi-week absence due to a corneal abrasion in his left eye. Although the Grizzlies remain shorthanded, it seems unlikely that LaRavia will have a significant role upon his return.

ImpactDuren will miss Friday's contest due to an ankle injury he suffered against Memphis. The second-year big man's absence will be a big blow to Detroit and likely result in increased minutes for Marvin Bagley and James Wiseman. Duren's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Indiana.

ImpactWednesday night also marked Biyombo's fifth game reaching double digits in the boards column. He has solidified himself as a reliable starter on the defensive end this season in the absence of Steven Adams (knee), averaging 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks through 27.1 minutes. As Adams, Brandon Clarke (Achilles) and Xavier Tillman (knee) will all be out for extended periods (the first two being out presumably for the entire season), expect Biyombo to continue drawing major minutes down the line.
