Report: Blazers center Robert Williams III slated for knee surgeryRobert Williams III is expected to miss "an extended period of time" per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
NOVEMBER 7, 2023NBA.COM
Robert Williams III - Will miss extended timeWilliams needs surgery to repair bone and ligament damage in his right kneecap, although a cleanup procedure with a 2-3 month recovery timeline is also an option. Shams Charania of...
ImpactWilliams is facing a season-ending surgery unless he opts for a temporary cleanup option. In the past, Williams has undergone arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, while also receiving platelet-rich plasma injections during the recovery. The health of Williams' knees is a serious long-term issue regardless of the course of action he elects for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.

Robert Williams III - Slated for surgeryWilliams (knee) will need surgery, but it's unclear what kind of procedure is necessary or how long he'll be sidelined, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ImpactThis is a brutal blow for Williams, who's battled knee injuries throughout his career. Regardless of what type of surgery he opts for, it's safe to assume Williams will be sidelined until at least Christmas, if not longer, but further updates will be provided as necessary. In Williams' absence, Toumani Camara, Moses Brown and Jabari Walker are candidates for increased roles behind starting center Deandre Ayton.

Malcolm Brogdon - Posts double-double in defeatBrogdon closed Sunday's 112-100 loss to the Grizzlies with 18 points (6-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 39 minutes.
ImpactBrogdon started a second consecutive game Sunday with Scoot Henderson (ankle) sidelined once again, and he posted a second straight double-double. Brogdon has scored in double figures in every appearance this season and is averaging 19.0 points, 6.1 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 31.0 minutes per game. However, he'll likely have less upside once Henderson is cleared to return.

Skylar Mays - Inefficient shooting in lossMays racked up seven points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals across 16 minutes during Sunday's 112-100 loss to the Grizzlies.
ImpactAfter seeing double-digit minutes just once through Portland's first five games, Mays has played at least 15 minutes in back-to-back contests. His increased playing time is likely due to Scoot Henderson's (ankle) absence. Mays hasn't exactly taken advantage of his opportunity, shooting just 29.4 percent from the floor over the last two contests, but he has tallied three steals during that stretch.

Jerami Grant - Drops 27 points in lossGrant notched 27 points (10-22 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 38 minutes during Sunday's 112-100 loss to Memphis.
ImpactGrant was held below 20 points in his first three appearances of the season but has now topped that mark in four consecutive outings and has averaged 24.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 39.3 minutes per game during that time. He's shot 43.0 percent from the floor over his past four appearances, which is closer to his career average, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him maintain relatively high production moving forward.
