Impact Cain is joined by Nikola Jovic and Dru Smith in the transfer. However, Cain will be the only one of the three who will remain with Sioux Falls for a significant amount of time. Cain will shift into a primary role in the G League for as long as he is with the team.

Impact Smith will serve a brief stint with the team before returning for the Heat's matchup with Memphis on Monday. Smith has been called to action with the Heat plagued by injuries lately, allowing him to see 15 or more minutes in two consecutive contests in late November. However, when the Heat are healthy Smith will not factor into the rotation.

He was less efficient as a scorer in the second half but made both his shots in overtime as Miami pulled out the victory. The 15 rebounds were his most in a game since the 2019-20 season.
