Dru Smith - Inks two-way deal with Miami Smith signed a two-way contract with Miami on Wednesday, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports.
Impact Smith signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the team back in late September, and now the Heat are converting his contract into a two-way deal. Smith played for the Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, last year.

Impact The Heat trimmed down their roster significantly Wednesday and unfortunately, Bouyea wasn't apart of it. It's reported that Bouyea will likely have a good shot at securing a G League deal, most notably with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Impact Besides the opener, Highsmith had started every preseason game up to this point. However, with Caleb Martin (knee) returning to the lineup, Highsmith will move back to a reserve role against New Orleans on Wednesday. The forward could see a slightly bigger role this season after averaging 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.6 minutes per contest in 2021-22, but he probably won't be relevant for fantasy purposes.
