Dillon Brooks - Drops 18 points FridayBrooks had 18 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes during Friday's 111-108 loss to the Heat.
ImpactBrooks led the Grizzlies with 18 points but offered very little beyond the scoring in typical fashion. After an injury-plagued season in 2021-22, Brooks will simply be hoping his body can make it through the rigors of another season without letting him down too often. Should he remain relatively healthy, Brooks is a fine player to target in the later rounds, especially given his ability to score the basketball.

Desmond Bane - Looks good despite loss FridayBane finished with 17 points (5-11 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to Miami.
ImpactBane was far from spectacular during the loss but still did enough to provide confidence to those hoping to roster him this season. After a breakout campaign in 2021-22, Bane's draft position has been open for debate thus far this preseason. While he is almost certainly not going to take any major leaps forward, his floor is safe enough to warrant a pick in the middle rounds of drafts.

Santi Aldama - Strong production continues FridayAldama compiled 11 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Friday's loss to the Heat.
ImpactAldama impressed yet again, continuing to thrive as a member of the starting unit. With Jaren Jackson likely to miss at least a month of action, Aldama now appears to be the favorite to replace him in the starting lineup. While he remains largely unproven, we have seen enough over the past week to make him worth considering in the backend of standard leagues.
