Officially signs with Brooklyn Beasley (suspension) officially signed a contract with the Nets on Thursday, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports. Impact With the Nets down seven players for the remainder of the season, the organization opted to bring in veterans Beasley and Jamal Crawford. Beasley hasn't seen any NBA run this season, but he made 26 appearances with the Lakers during the 2018-19 campaign, averaging 7.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 10.9 minutes. It certainly seems possible that he'll garner a bigger role with Brooklyn given the team context. The 31-year-old still has an outstanding five-game suspension from August 2019 for violating the league's anti-drug policy that presumably needs to be served before he's cleared for game action.
