Brook Lopez - Starting contact scrimmaging Lopez (back) will begin contact and 5-on-5 scrimmaging, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports. Impact Coach Mike Budenholzer noted that it's possible Lopez will work with the G League squad, as the parent club doesn't do much full-contact, 5-on-5 scrimmaging this late in the season. Regardless, this is a great step for Lopez, who has been sidelined since playing in the opener as he dealt with a back injury that required surgery. Assuming Lopez returns sometime in the near future, he'll likely have a conservative minutes limit in his first games back. Milwaukee shored up its frontcourt depth at the trade deadline by adding Serge Ibaka as well, so there's less pressure to rush Lopez back.
