ImpactAs expected, Allen will remain out for the start of the play-in tournament, which means Evan Mobley will continue to start at center while Kevin Love and Lamar Stevens garner increased roles off the bench. If the Cavaliers lose Tuesday, they would face the winner of the Hawks-Hornets matchup Thursday in a win-or-go home game, but Allen's status past Tuesday's game remains unknown. On a positive note, the All-Star center was able to go through a pregame workout ahead of Sunday's win over the Bucks, so he appears to be making substantial progress and is nearing a return to action.
