Troy Brown Jr. - Headed to Detroit The Timberwolves traded Brown, Shake Milton and a second-round pick to the Pistons in exchange for Monte Morris, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact Brown has been an inconsistent part of Minnesota's rotation this season, averaging 4.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 11.1 minutes across 37 appearances. However, the 24-year-old forward has proven to be a quality outside shooter, converting 36.9 percent of his 2.3 three-point attempts per contest in 2023-24. Brown will likely compete for bench minutes on a rebuilding Pistons team.

The veteran's fantasy value likely won't improve with the trade, as he'll be competing with Jordan McLaughlin and Nickeil Alexander-Walker for backup point guard minutes behind Mike Conley. Morris probably won't be able to debut Thursday in Milwaukee, which would make his next chance to suit up Monday in Los Angeles.

The Frenchman has posted seven double-doubles over his last 10 games, a span in which he's averaging 14.8 points, 13.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per contest.

His overall numbers are representing an upgrade compared to the 2022-23 campaign, and though he's now operating as Minnesota's second-best offensive weapon behind Anthony Edwards, he remains a solid two-way contributor who can post a double-double, or fill the stat sheet, on any given night.

Impact Edwards surpassed the 30-point mark for the second consecutive game -- and the fourth time over his last eight appearances. Even though Karl-Anthony Towns is having an impressive season, Edwards has been Minnesota's most reliable and consistent scorer on a game-to-game basis. He's capable of contributing in other areas as well, but most of his fantasy upside is tied almost directly to his scoring ability. Over his last 10 games, Edwards is averaging 25.0 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 44.6 percent from beyond the arc.
