Impact Edwards only sank 26.1 percent of his shots during the preseason loss, well below his 46.1 percent conversion rate from last season. Games like this should be an outlier for Edwards, who is Minnesota's primary scoring weapon and one of the most dynamic players in the league.

Impact DiVincenzo struggled with his shot on Wednesday, but his new role as the sixth man for the Timberwolves looks secure. DiVincenzo's skill set will allow him to fill in at several positions, and his potential is uncapped despite the reserve role to begin the season.

Impact One shouldn't read much into Minott's performance. The 2022 second-round pick is trapped in a crowded depth chart that won't give him many opportunities to move up. Although he shows promise and signed a new deal in the offseason, his participation will be limited.
