The fact he scored a season-high four points says everything you need to know about his fantasy appeal or lack thereof. It's always lovely to see fringe players getting some additional run, but from a fantasy perspective, there is obviously nothing to see here.

Jaylen Nowell - Pops for 17 points in loss Nowell finished with 17 points (7-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 23 minutes during Monday's 133-112 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Impact Nowell scored in double digits for the first time in almost a week, turning things around after a tough couple of games. His role has increased since Karl-Anthony Towns went down with a calf injury, allowing Nowell to increase his offensive productivity. He sits just inside the top 150 over the past two weeks, meaning he is at least on the radar in competitive formats, especially for anyone seeking a short-term points boost.

Jaden McDaniels - Lackadaisical performance Monday McDaniels produced two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 133-112 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Impact McDaniels was nowhere to be seen in the loss, putting forth his worst performance of the season. Despite the consistent minutes, it's been rough going of late for McDaniels, sitting outside the top 175 over the past two weeks. While he does remain a viable commodity across standard formats, his lack of multi-category appeal does mean he is better suited to specific team builds.

Impact Gobert finished tied for second on the team with 24 points in the loss, just two behind Anthony Edwards' total. Gobert scored 22 points against Utah in the first game of the back-to-back set Friday, and he's now exceeded the 20-point total in consecutive contests for the first time this season. The scoring surge has come while Karl-Anthony Towns remains out with a calf injury, so it's uncertain if Gobert will continue to look for the ball as much offensively when Towns eventually returns. A boost in the scoring department would be a welcome sign to fantasy managers who roster Gobert, as there's been some disappointment in his output this season -- both his 11.8 boards and 1.3 blocks per contest are well below the standards he has set over the past several campaigns.
