ImpactCavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Monday that Garland is "starting to ramp back up" and is considered day-to-day. The All-Star point guard has missed three straight games and eight of Cleveland's last 11 contests due to low-back soreness, but the Cavaliers continue to insist that it's not a long-term issue. If he's sidelined again Wednesday, Brandon Goodwin remains a likely candidate for an increased role.

The Timberwolves released a statement Tuesday saying that the backup point guard has been cleared for contact practices and will be evaluated Sunday.
