Duop Reath - Inks three-year dealThe Trail Blazers are converting Reath's two-way contract to a three-year, standard NBA contract Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ImpactDespite being a two-way player, Reath has spent most of 2023-24 with the Trail Blazers in the NBA. This is mostly due to injuries to Moses Brown (wrist) and Robert Williams (knee). Reath is averaging 8.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 17.4 minutes across his 40 appearances, including 11 starts.

Leonard Miller - Gets garbage-time run in blowoutMiller (Achilles) played the final 4:49 of Thursday's 128-91 win over the Trail Blazers, logging two assists and missing his only field-goal attempt.
ImpactDue to an Achilles injury, Miller was sidelined Tuesday for the G League Iowa Wolves' 113-111 win over the Rip City Remix in the affiliate's final game before the All-Star break, but the rookie was healthy enough to make an appearance off the bench for the parent club Thursday. Miller has seen action in just seven games for the Timberwolves this season, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 3.7 minutes.

Deandre Ayton - Massive regression in lossAyton fouled out of Thursday's 128-91 loss to the Timberwolves after recording two points (1-5 FG), four rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals over 20 minutes.
ImpactPortland gave up on Ayton early as he failed to gain traction opposite Rudy Gobert. He finished with only 20 minutes of court time, which was his lowest minute total of the season. Duop Reath and Ibou Badji took over, but Ayton's job is safe despite Thursday's result.

ImpactGrant was the only Trail Blazer to score 20-plus points. Portland fell behind early with a 44-14 deficit, and the anemic results continued throughout the game. The Trail Blazers depend heabvly on grant's output, but even his recent 49-point night result against Detroit failed to register a notch in the win column.
