Dealt to Hornets Harrell was traded from the Wizards to the Hornets on Thursday in exchange for Vernon Carey and Ish Smith, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Impact Harrell had a relatively consistent role off the bench during his first season in Washington, and he had scored in double figures in five of his last six appearances. During that time, he averaged 13.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game. The 28-year-old will have an opportunity to carve out playing time alongside Mason Plumlee and P.J. Washington in the Hornets' frontcourt.

Impact Thomas Bryant got the start at center but played only 17 minutes, while Harrell wound up leading the Wizards in point and boards while playing nearly as many minutes as Bryant and Daniel Gafford combined. Harrell's production hasn't been impacted by the trade rumors circling him, and over the last 12 games he's averaging 13.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.9 blocks in 21.7 minutes a night from the second unit.

Impact Harrell continues to produce off the bench and has scored in double digits in all but two of his last 10 games since exiting the league's health and safety protocols. He hasn't recorded a double-double since late November, however, so his fantasy production is too reliant on what he does on the offensive end of the court. He's averaging 12.7 points per contest in that aforementioned 10-game span.

Impact Harrell bounced back from a three-point outing Sunday to score in double figures for the seventh time in his last eight appearances. During that stretch, he has averaged 12.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 blocks in 20.6 minutes. Despite coming off the bench, he continues to play more minutes and out produce starting center Daniel Gafford.

It's slightly counterintuitive, as through 37 appearances this season, Harrell is averaging 14.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and career-high shooting marks across the board.
